Staff Changes

We have had to say a very sad goodbye to Hannah. Hannah has been amazing during her time at WASPS, but has decided to move on. She will be very much missed. We wish her all the best in her new venture, and she hopes to come back and visit.

We will also be losing Kelly who has been a part of the team for over 5 years. We will be very sad to see Kelly go. She has been amazing during her time here and she has brought many smiles to the children’s faces over the years. We wish her all the best and hope to see her from time to time.

We are very happy to announce we have a new member of staff starting. Her name is Olivia, and she is excited to be joining us.

Collection

Can we please ask that you collect your child/children from preschool by 3pm if this is your allocated collection time. If you have a child at the primary school, please collect your pre-schooler first. After 3pm collections interferes with our ratios with after school club children coming over and means that staff cannot go home or leave until all the preschool children have been collected. To help us stay in ratio and be able to uphold safety in the building, we ask you to please ensure your child/children are collected by 3pm. If you need extra care or after school club cover, please don’t hesitate to speak to Synetta or Amie or you can email us.

Drinking Water and Food

Just a reminder that we have a drinking water policy that means whilst children are in our care, we only provide water or milk for them to drink here and therefore we do not allow juice/squash. This is within the early years guidance to promote good oral health for all children. We are also a NUT FREE setting, so please read the packaging before putting it in your child’s lunchbox.

Clothing and Weather

The weather is changing again, so please ensure you pack appropriate clothing. We have noticed some children only wearing thin tops, we do have the door open all day to allow free play and this means it can be chilly in the room for long periods of times, please put them in layers so items can be removed if it warms up.
